what is welcome to boo hill?

Welcome to Boo Hill is an event in downtown Blue Hill that brings the community together in a festive spirit. During this event, local businesses will open their doors to welcome trick-or-treaters, creating a safe and fun environment for families to enjoy Halloween traditions. Participating businesses can also compete in a spirited storefront decorating contest, showcasing creativity throughout the town.

This event not only promotes community engagement but also supports local businesses by drawing residents and visitors downtown, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere that makes our town unique.

  • THE salon & spa — pick up location for businesses needing candy to pass out.

  • Blue Hill Chamber of Commerce — popcorn, hot cocoa and children's crafts on the town hall lawn.

  • Blue Hill Small Business Collaborative — downtown business storefront decorating contest.

  • George Stevens Academy — "Stranger Things" themed haunted house.

  • Blue Hill Public Library — Trick or Read inviting kids and teens in costume to choose a boo-k for free.

  • The Blue Hill Co-op — staff costume contest for shoppers to vote, keep a hot line open until 5pm for made-to-order hamburger, fries, tacos, and BLT's + give out candy, carrots, and apples to kids in costume all day.
